Zarbdar: Words That Cross

Zarbdar is a crossword with no clues.

Each turn, a row of squares appears, some with letters already in place. Type any real English word that fits, and it locks into the grid. The next word crosses it, and your crossword grows from there, one word at a time.

How it plays

• Any real word that fits the squares and keeps the letters already there is accepted (more than 73,000 words)
• Long words and rare letters (J, Q, X, Z) score more
• Keep a chain of clean words going and your points multiply: x1.5, then x2, then x3
• Stuck? A hint places one letter, for a few points
• Every finished board is a level up: boards grow by one word a level, and your points earn badges from Bronze to Master
